Brand New Target Shoes at Goodwill Prices

Sunday must have been my day because not only did I finish my room and chalkboards, make a great spaghetti casserole, and think of a great idea for a cheap spring decorating accessory (more on that later this month), but I also scored some great shoes at amazing prices.

San and I decided to stop by the local Goodwill, more to kill time than to buy anything.  When I walked in there was a huge section of brand new Target shoes.  Not only were they cheap, but they were so cute.  I would have probably bought a pair for full price at Target because I liked them that much, but instead I snagged four pairs!

Okay, so I bought three pairs in the same style, but I seriously love them!  I love wearing flats, but I have a problem with them cutting into my heels making them unwearable.  These are a soft suede that does not cut into my heel and they have a great hard rubber bottom making them great for random Minnesota weather.  I also bought the tan ones because they also will not cut into my heels and they are very versatile.

Now, you’re probably wondering how much I paid for these bad boys, right?  First, I need to show you how much I would’ve paid if shopping today online.

The three shoes of the same style are on sale right now (which is probably why they are at Goodwill in the first place).  They retail for $19.99 but are on sale for the following prices:

The tan moccasins are not on sale and can be purchased right now for 24.99.  Altogether, I would have spent $55.93.  Instead I spent $17.96!  Pretty nice for four brand new pairs of shoes, right?  It’s funny because the tan shoes which are the most expensive online I got for the lowest price, at just $2.99!

San bought a pair of really nice Banana Republic loafers really similar to these $140 ones, but he only paid $8.99.  What great deals!  I love shopping secondhand, or in my case just really cheap!

Have you gotten any good deals lately?

    Sarah,
I must say I really enjoy Reading your blog.
Being in a similar situation it’s good to see someone else is having the same thoughts.

And the shoes cutting in the heels bit? I always thought I was the only person that has that problem! Glad to see I’m not the only one! ;)

I’m so jealous of your goodwill finds, there is nothing like that over here in Ireland. What I woudnt give to have the USA closer to here

I guess I’ll have to live through your experiences ;)

Keep up the blog it’s such good fun

    Katha,

I’m so glad to hear you are in a similar situation as me – I thought I was one of the few people who was interested in this stuff at my age and at this point in my life. I’m so glad to see that I’m not!

That’s horrible that there are no Goodwills or anything like that in Ireland – are there thrift or secondhand stores? They are basically the same thing, but sometimes a little more pricey. Do people host yard sales to get rid of their old stuff they don’t need anymore, because sometimes that’s even better than a Goodwill! I sure hope so – I don’t know what I would do without some way to buy secondhand.

I’d love if you would continue commenting – I love to hear from my readers. Thanks for stopping by!

  • I love shoes from Target! (and I’m with you on the heel-cutting part of flats, too… I thought it was also just me!)

The best shoe sale score I’ve ever made was actually at the Target store about a year ago. I usually don’t do too much shoe shopping, as I am a size 10.5, I usually have to spring for a size 11 (they don’t do half sizes that big, unfortunately). And half the time women’s shoes don’t come that big (I have no idea why… I know I’m not the only woman with big feet!). But anyways, I was perusing the shoe section one random day at Target and found four pairs of shoes – size 11! – on sale, marked down from 35$ a pair to 4$! I pretty much did the happy dance right there in the middle of the store. It was my lucky day, first finding shoes I liked that fit me, and that they were on super-sale! That doesn’t happen too often for me. :)

  • Agh! Now I want to go shopping! :)

  • Those are super cute! What great finds!

I just got a $200 pair of Bruno Magli’s (some yellow pumps) for $20 (including shipping) off of ebay. I’m SO excited…

    haha!

Not quite as good as four pairs of shoes for less than that..but ya know.

    Cute blog!

  • What a find!! These shoes are great, and I go for comfortable all the time. I will have to stop in the Goodwill again soon!!
they were not there last time!

Wow! You really got some great shoes for almost nothing! I like the style they are sooo comfortable. It pays to shop around.

  • I have the same black ones, and while they are super cute, they gave me terrible blisters. I hope they work better for you than they did for me. :)
