It feels so good to be home. Above is my burro, Bailey, who let me take her picture as she welcomed me home. I hope you are all with your families, relaxing, having fun, and reminiscing about what makes life so special. This is the time of the year to let everyone know how much you love them and what they mean to you. It’s good to do this all year long, but life does get busy and sometimes we lose sight of what’s really important. I hope right now you know that what’s really important is not how clean your house is, it’s not any gossip going around about what’s-their-name, it’s not even about how financially stable you or your family is. What is most important is that you give love to others and you do the best you can. If you do those two things, you are doing well.
This Christmas, I am more thankful and more understanding than I have ever been of what God did for all of us on earth. He showed us He loved us in the most gracious way,

I am sorry for the lack of updates this week, I actually had quite the ordeal on Tuesday in the midst of the dreaded Finals Week. I woke up Tuesday, planning on going to a final English class at 8am to make up for when my professor was sick. Right before I left, I received an email saying he had to cancel due to a twisted ankle. Then my roommate noticed that the shower was full of water, but we thought nothing of it but told our Apartment Coordinator so that someone could come fix it later in the day. I was already dressed and ready to face the day, so I stayed up and worked on a paper. About an hour later, I was finishing up the paper when I looked over and saw water seeping under my door. I don’t think seeping is the right word, because it was moving quickly. I panicked, ran to my AC’s room and muttered an incoherent sentence that somehow still registered in her mind as she followed me running. By the time we got back, not even a minute later, the water had reached the middle of my room. I immediately threw

My roommate’s feet while sleeping yesterday.
With the stress of finals, papers, and presentations looming over me and the added stress of Christmas (as much as I love it, it stresses me out that I can’t even concentrate on it with all the stuff I’ve got going on), I have started to see the more important things in life. I don’t get to see or talk to my family very much at school, so I rely on my friends for moral support, and let me just say I have the best friends a girl could ever ask for. We get excited for each other when good things are happening and we try to pick each other up when we’re down. I am so lucky to live with three girls who, besides little living quarrels, never bother me and make me happy.
Yesterday, for instance, we should have been studying but we all sat down, talked, and watched Youtube videos for over an hour, having a blast just spending time with one another. We’ve all been really stressed out, but sometimes the ways to de-stress is not

For over a week and I have been spending hours, and I mean hours, researching DSLR cameras. I have always wanted to get into photography but have never had the money or the urge to do it until now. My schedule opened up next semester with the way my classes laid out so that I can work more. I have been wanting to buy a new camera for a while because mine does not do the best unless I am outside on a bright day. I decided it was the perfect time for a change.
Deciding was a lot harder than I anticipated because beside having to decide between a Nikon or a Canon I also wanted the best I could get for my money. I found that I had really high expectations without any knowledge of how those expectations could be met and that in the end most DSLR cameras out there will take good images, it matters more who is behind the camera than the camera itself. That being said, I know higher level cameras are better, but for a beginner who has a lot of learning to do, I do not need the features of a nicer camera

ODE TO STUFFING
The turkey is roasting. My toes, they are toasting. By the fire I wait For you to appear. With my nostrils held high, I sigh a big sigh While the chatter of family Draws near.
Small talk surrounds me. They talk so profoundly. Yet my hunger pains Drown out their songs. I’m sorry, I swear But your talk can’t compare With the love I’ve been Hiding so long.
It’s ready! I cheer! I see you, my dear As we line up to eat you and Your brothers. I trip little Sally And elbow darling Allie To get to you before Any others.
Your heat rises and rises. The whole family surmises. What the
