College has got me reading tons of books, almost so many that I feel like my brain is pushing out all the old knowledge to fit the new. Nevertheless, this isn’t always a bad thing because it got me thinking about how to display books. I have found many pictures of bookshelves in my inspiration folder that I want to share with all of you. There are so many uses for a bookshelf. Here are some of my favorites.

You can organize by color to create a focal point.

You can use colors already in the room or complementary colors.

Or you can use books of all one color.

There are also many fun ways to organize the books.

I also love the use of unconventional things on a bookshelf or using a bookshelf as some other sort of storage system.

Painting or wallpapering the back of the bookcase is always a fun addition.

And I love putting bookshelves in unexpected places, like in a window seat.

Or you can create a whole room out of them!
