Dreaming Of: A Kitchen of Bountiful Appliances & Accessories

I try to be realistic here.  I’m a poor college kid dreaming of big things but working up to those big things in many little ways every day.  I’m a poor college kid who likes to cook, decorate, and be crafty.  Decorating I can do on the cheap by shopping secondhand stores and being creative.  I can be crafty by using things I already have and even by doing things on my computer.  Cooking I can do, but only with what I currently have and with ingredients I can afford.  This post is dedicated to all the cooking-related appliances and accessories I would totally have stocked in my miraculous dream kitchen if I had the money.  Dreaming is good, right – that’s what my blog is all about, so I hope you say yes!

Not only is this a very chic and organized way to house spices, but they usually come with the spices included which overall is much cheaper than buying all the spices in the store upfront.

What cook doesn’t want one of these?

 Clovers Plate from La Plates

I found these amazing customizable monogrammed plates on a giveaway at Little Green Notebook.  They are so cute and would make me appear to be so much more sophisticated than I really am.  Maybe I would host a dinner party!  They are amazing!

KitchenAid, Artisan® Series, Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

San has been drooling over the 6-quart professional-grade KitchenAid mixers for a couple years.  I don’t think I would ever need one that powerful (he is a pastry chef), but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want one at all!

White Ramekins

There are hundreds of great dishes I could use these to make – desserts, individual mini soufflés, etc.  They’re even great to keep small candy in and to use to decorate with.  I want some!

San and I stand in awe whenever we see this cutting board.  They are so pretty and exactly what I want to be cutting my vegetables on!

image Curvy Glass Water Pitcher

I have no intention of buying a glass pitcher right now because I don’t really have a use for it – but I’m always look in the cooking section of department stores.  I’m really picky – I want one with this exact silhouette – it must bring out my femininity or something.

I need to stop myself – I could go on for days and days!  Looks like I have a lot to dream about over the weekend!

  • I love the first two! A lime green le creuset dutch oven and a stainless steel spice rack are actually two things that I’ve been eyeing, too. I have a wood spice rack right now, and perhaps I’ll paint it to go with my kitchen more and since I still have alot of the spices left, but I love the stainless ones. And oh, how I drool over that lime green le creuset dutch oven (I’ve been on a lime kick recently)… :)

I still want my 6 qt Kitchen Aid :P. I really like that Le Creuset dutch oven, especially in red. The kitchen is where home is for me!

Well, I could look at kitchen accessories forever! I love them. Unfortunately they cost money and you have to be able to store them somewhere. The ones you show are fantastic. The salad bowl is definitely unique and intriguing! You will use the mixer if you had it, they are great! What is most important that I have a few pieces that I love and use.

  • Ahhh…I can relate. Being a college student, and a wife, and a mom, is killing me..haha!

I would kill for that stand mixer or a Le Creuset piece (or the ENTIRE set!)

    One day.. = )

  • P.S.

I have seen really nice cutting boards at great prices @ TJ Maxx / Homegoods!
