Dreaming Of: The Perfect Office Chair

I have already blogged about my perfect house, but that is something I won’t be actually looking into for a few years. Right now, I spend a lot of time at a desk doing homework, blogging, and surfing the web. I use the chair that came with my apartment, which is not very comfy or good looking. This has me dreaming of the perfect office chair. I would draw inspiration from these images:

It would be very plush and comfortable, but maybe not quite as large as the first image.

The one thing I like about my chair in my apartment is that it is on rockers, like the on on the right in the image below. I don’t know if I like it enough to sacrifice wheels, however, unless it was in a carpeted room where wheels would snag the carpet or not roll very well.

It would also be covered in a patterned fabric and most likely a bright color, depending on the color of the room.

And in my dream world it would be all of the previous things plus it would have a vintage charm to it in some way. Maybe the legs would be vintage-inspired or the fabric would be a colorful vintage pattern.

What kind of chair do you sit on while using your computer? What would you change it to if you could?

  • They all look so comfortable, I don’t know if I’d get any work done!

I like the looks of all the chairs but they look more like sitting chairs except the last one and I find a chair specifically designed for work at a desk is the most functional when doing heavy duty paper work. I think a chair with wheels also is more functional. If you have an office I think alot of the chairs on your blog would be good accessory chairs for someone else to sit in or if it is a den/office good for reading etc. I know I wouldn’t mind having most of them shown.
